The George Eastman Museum’s annual display of cleverly designed and deliciously decorated gingerbread houses is one of the Rochester community’s most beloved holiday traditions. Sweet Creations is an event for all ages that’s also an opportunity to tour the mansion at its most festive.
The array of gingerbread structures includes confections from professional bakers, families, and community groups. All of the confectionery creations are available for purchase through a silent auction, with proceeds supporting future restoration projects.
Gingerbread House Contest at Lost Borough – December 14th
Local brewery the Lost Borough has paired with The George Eastman Museum for the first-ever Gingerbread House Contest in conjunction with the Sweet Creations Project. A portion of every ticket sale will benefit the museum. Basic house-building supplies will be provided, and The Lost Borough will provide the liquid creativity. Attendees are welcome to bring additional accents to personalize their houses. Each ticket includes the basic supplies to build one house and a pint.
