In planning a move to Rochester to attend Rochester Institute of Technology, I was looking for a quiet alternative to the dorms. The units and amenities at Erie Station Village were much better than those available on campus, so I’ve made this my home for four years, in three different units.

The staff has been incredibly accommodating, always staying on top of — and in touch about — any issues that come up. You can’t help but love Renee.

I appreciate living in a safe community full of respectful tenants. People are friendly without being intrusive. Plus, it’s ten minutes from the University of Rochester, Rochester Institute of Technology, and anything else you could want. I’ve enjoyed my time at Erie Station Village, and my family and friends love it, too.

A few years ago, we moved to Rochester from the city so the kids would be closer to their grandparents. Now we’ve been in the same unit for three years! Erie Station Village had absolutely everything we were looking for, but the garage and extra storage space were the features that really sold us. The location is convenient — especially because it’s close to the grandparents — and we love the overall look and feel of the community. There’s such a variety of homes that it doesn’t look like an apartment complex at all.

Our family has so many reasons to love Erie Station Village. Living in a safe, family-oriented community smoothed our transition from the bustling city to a quieter suburban life. We love that the staff puts together community events like Resident Appreciation Days and the annual summer picnic. Those events give us a chance, as busy, working parents, to meet people beyond our next-door neighbors. Speaking of the staff, Renee has been wonderful.

The sky above seems to always shine down on our beautiful village! I enjoy and greet every day with the warm character of this community.

I enjoy strolling our sidewalks daily, even during the evening with the charming street lamps lighting my way. I feel like I’m always on vacation…the summers are a relaxing time at the lovely pool or maybe a picnic by the pond. The Clubhouse is a short walk from my apartment, I enjoy the work-out facility at least three times every week…I love it!

I consider Erie Station Village my home, my beautiful refuge from the world. Not just my apartment, but my quality of life.

When I decided to move back to my hometown of Rochester, I searched online for an apartment that would fit my criteria. I had a list of five, but Erie Station Village kept coming out on top! Described as quaint and quiet (but with a modern edge), Erie Station evoked memories of old Shortsville, Canandaigua, and the 19th Ward.

My sidewalks are safe and many for me and my dog, Hudson. The pool and gym are an aerobic wonderland. The Clubhouse is a lovely spot for coffee or dinner. I am close to everything I need, but when I’m home, it’s my quiet haven. This haven has the feel of permanence rather than transiency; the landscaping is nicely done, the Village Green reminds me of Thomas Tryon’s book, “Lady,” and the little lake is calming to be near.

My apartment has an incredible floorplan and because I have been able to decorate, it is no longer my apartment – it is my home. The icing on the cake, though, are the people – neighbors and the ESV staff (the community heartbeat!).
