Save this Summer with Season Passes!
May 2016
The school year is winding down. Do the kids in your life have a full docket of sports leagues, summer camps, and recreation programs lined up? Our region offers a wealth of educational and active opportunities for both kids and adults to enjoy throughout the summer. Many, like Henrietta’s Summer Concert Series, are free. Still, some of the most iconic and memorable seasonal activities come with a price tag.
Summer gets expensive!
If your child wants to visit the same place more than once (or if you do), the price paid for individual entry can quickly add up to more than a season or annual pass. So that you can compare prices and find the best value for summertime fun, we suggest checking out multi-visit passes to these classic summer destinations.
Seabreeze
One visit to Seabreeze Amusement Park costs $31.99 at the gate or $28.99 online. A season passport, good for 20 all-day admissions, free parking, and discounts for friends is just $75.99. If you happen to have a child who’s afraid of rides, they can get a spectator pass for less than $30!
Seneca Park Zoo
During the summer, one-time admission to the Seneca Park Zoo costs $12 for adults and $9 for kids ages 3-11. With a family membership, two (named) adults and their kids can roam the zoo all year for just $99. Bonus perks include discounts both inside and outside the zoo and express entry.
Rochester Red Wings
It’s easy to raise a roost of Red Wings fans when you spend your summers in Rochester. Single-game tickets already give our city a great deal on local baseball action, but multiple-game passes are where the real value can be found. Check out mini packs, 12-game packs, flex packs, and season seats, all of which offer savings over individual game tickets.
Strong Museum
Who wants to visit the Strong Museum (The National Museum of Play) just once? Since it’s a children’s museum, each one-day admission costs $14 for everyone over the age of 2. A one-year Basic family pass for 2 adults and up to 4 kids will run you $120. Affordable upgrades are available for more kids, caretakers, and the opportunity to always bring a guest.
RMSC
Rochester Museum & Science Center is an amazing local resource that offers an abundance of exciting, engaging, and educational programming for all ages. Admission for a single visit costs $13 for adults and $11 for kids. The RMSC offers several types of memberships for all sorts of families, including single-parent, grandparent, and 3-adult family options, most of which are less than $100 for the whole year. When you plan your visits, don’t forget to check out what’s going on at the Cumming Nature Center and the Strasenburgh Planetarium!
