Celebrating Craft Cocktails

The first full week of June (3rd through 9th), celebrate local craft cocktail culture with the Rochester Cocktail Revival. This weeklong festival showcases Rochester’s cocktail bars and top-tier mixology talent. More than 20 cocktail bars in the downtown area will participate in Cocktail Revival events featuring spirit brands from across the region. The Revival includes educational seminars, spirited events, and local economic contributions. The program incorporates more than 15 dinners, 40 parties, a daylong spirit tasting event, hands-on seminars, live music, a themed gala, and interactive entertainment events at local museums and other unique venues. A highlight is the Bar Room Battle Royale between local mixologists that closes the festival each year.

An Artistic Evolution

In its sixth year, the 2019 Rochester Cocktail Revival features a new component that demonstrates its commitment to the arts: specialty events focused on the thriving and progressive arts scene in our community. The result is a showcase of craft beverage culture that works alongside arts-focused events. For example, Booze and Botany will take place on June 5th at the George Eastman Museum, where you can sip botanical cocktail creations, listen to live music, and join guided tours of the gardens. On Friday, June 7th, Nightcap Theatre will create a collision of a cocktail party and a night out at the theatre in the penthouse of the Metropolitan Building. It’s an immersive theatre experience at the heart of the beautiful downtown skyline.
