Get Outside Close to Home this Fall
September 2015
Whether you’re a snowbird or a ski bum, you have to admit that this September’s weather has been pretty incredible. We know the 80+ temps won’t last, so it’s time to get out and savor this extended summer. If you’re ready to escape the crowds of the Fringe Festival, there are plenty of places close to Erie Station Village to have fun outside.
- Catch a baseball or softball game at the Thomas E. “Bill” Farrell Baseball Complex.
- Entertain the kids at the Plagyground or Catch-and-Release Fishing Pond at Martin Road Park.
- Stretch your dog’s legs or try your hand at Disc Golf at Lookup Park.
- Take a hike on the Lehigh Valley Trail.
- Enjoy a game of bocce, soccer, softball, volleyball, tennis, or basketball at Veterans Memorial Park.
The easiest place to spend time outside, of course, is right here at Erie Station Village! If you’re a new resident or just haven’t done much exploring, spend a day wandering our nature trails, biking around the pond, or reading next to Henninger Memorial Garden. When the weather finally does get cold, be sure to keep your spirits up with regular visits to our 24-hour fitness center!
