June 2015

Quilting is a timeless art.

A well-made quilt can be passed down from generation to generation, becoming a beautiful family heirloom. Not only that, but it can be a historical piece of artwork, as well. If you are an accomplished quilter, or just someone who is interested in the activity, have we got good news for you! The 2015 Genesee Valley Quiltfest is right around the corner!

GVQF is a biennial extravaganza!

This year, it will be held from June 5th through the 7th in the Gordon Field House at RIT. That means that, as an Erie Station Village resident, you’re less than 10 minutes away from 60,000 square feet of quilt vendors, appraisals, demos, classes, and lectures. The cost of one-day entrance is only $10, but you can save big by buying a weekend pass for only $20! Please head over to the Genesee Valley Quiltfest website for all the information you could ever need about GVQF2015, and you can also check out the Genesee Valley Quilting Club’s website, too. Remember, “biennial” means this wonderful event only comes around every other year, so don’t miss out!
