Scenic Erie Station Village

Area Activity Guide: You-Pick Fruits and Veggies

August 2015

Farmers’ Markets are a great way to get fresh fruits and vegetables for cheap prices, but sometimes you just want to be more actively involved. That’s where the glut of area farms come in handy. A number of them offer the chance to come out and pick exactly the produce you want, and the exactly the amount of it as well. Below, we’ve listed some of our favorites, though there are many more. They are obviously located all over the place, so some will be closer to Erie Station Village than others. However, we tried to keep it all as local as possible. So head out to a few of these wonderful farms – produce you’ve picked yourself always tastes best!

Burch Farms (Hilton) – Pick-your-own Strawberries, Sweet Cherries, Tart Cherries, Raspberries, Blueberries, Currants, Gooseberries and Fresh Picked Peaches and Apples.

Schutt’s Apple Mill (Webster) – You-pick cherries and raspberries

Whittier Farms (Rochester) – Pick-Your-Own sweet cherries, donut peaches, blueberries, apples

Green Acre Fruit Farm (Rochester) – You-Pick raspberries, blueberries, currants/gooseberries, apricots, plums, prunes, apples
