Want to see something truly spectacular?

Like the Olympics, the upcoming Rochester Twilight Criterium is amazing and awe-inspiring, and not just for sports fans. That’s why the 13th edition of the event is expected to draw more 25,000 spectators, along with more than 500 cyclists from around the world.

The NASCAR of Cycling

The Criterium has been called the NASCAR of US professional cycling thanks to its decidedly American format. Cyclists compete at high speeds on a short (1 to 2 kilometer) course in an urban setting that prioritizes spectator access. Rochester’s race is actually part of the exclusive 17-event lineup approved by USA Cycling as part of the US National Pro Road Tour!

Free to Spectators

This year’s Rochester Twilight Criterium is produced by Full Moon Vista Bike & Sport. Admission is totally free for spectators. Amateur racing starts at 3:15 pm, while the one-hour women’s professional race gets underway at 6:25, and the two-hour men’s pro race kicks off at 8:05.

The Civic Center garage at 55 Fitzhugh St. is parking central for this event. South Avenue will feature a food-truck rodeo, beer garden run by local favorite Rohrbach Brewing, and the best place to watch — the finish line. To get the best views throughout your visit, walk opposite the direction of the race course.
