Area Activity Guide: Rochester Civic Garden Center
June 2015
There are a lot of reasons to be glad you’re a resident at Erie Station Village. But one of the biggest is our proximity (only 15 minutes!) to the glorious Highland Park! This summer, we’ll be using this blog to keep you apprised of some of the wonderful things you can find, do, and explore at Highland Park, which is truly a special place for the community as a whole.
We thought we’d start off by highlighting the Rochester Civic Garden Center. The RCGC is a non-profit educational center that provides classes and experiences regarding all kinds of botanical beauty. RCGC was founded way back in 1950 and over the past 65 years has enlightened and thrilled students and visitors with tours of the Gardens, classes, symposiums, and all kinds of other events. It’s an organization dedicated to enriching people’s lives through learning and experiences. At their website, you can find out about all the summer classes you can take, as well as guided tours, special events, and seasonal memberships. We’re fortunate to have such an organization here in Rochester, and we hope you’ll head up to Highland Park and check out everything Rochester Civic Garden Club has to offer!
