Area Activity Guide: ROC Mini Maker Faire
November 2016
Connecting the Curious with the Fascinating
If you’ve never been to a Maker Faire, you’ve probably never seen anything like it. We’re lucky to have our own version in Rochester, but even after you’ve attended, it can be hard to describe. Basically, Rochester’s Mini Maker Faire is a showcase of what’s possible. Creators, hobbyists, and inventors of all ages come together to share how they’ve brought their dreams to life. Visitors can expect to see all sorts of things they’ve never seen before. It’s an opportunity for the public to play with ideas, discover new pursuits, and super-charge their creativity.
What will you make?
“We call it the Greatest Show (& Tell) on Earth — a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity, and resourcefulness. Glimpse the future and get inspired!” – Rochester Mini Maker Faire
It doesn’t matter whether you’ve spent your whole life creating or have yet to discover your craft. Anyone can find a spark of inspiration or motivation at a Maker Faire. Spend the day exploring your potential. The 3rd annual Rochester Mini Maker Faire will be a day full of learning, sharing, and doing. If you want to get your hands dirty, join in with opportunities to Volunteer, become a Maker, or sponsor the event!
