Area Activity Guide: Party Mad at the Zoo

One of the wildest parties of the year is back! On Friday, July 26th, the Seneca Park Zoo Society docents become your hosts for Party Mad at the Zoo. Over the last 15 years, this fun and festive summer fundraising event has helped the zoo raise more than $150,000 for education and conservation programs in the Madagascar area.
Happy Hour at Seneca Park Zoo
It’s an after-hours event (ages 21+ only) that gives guests access to shop for unique goods at the International Marketplace and a chance to win exclusive auction items and prizes. Plus, you can play Wine Plinko at the zoo! Guests will enjoy wine and chocolate tastings, and a variety of food and beverages will also be available for purchase from Stoneyard Brewing Company, Cider Creek Hard Cider, and others. Live music will be presented by the local Blues Rock Funk Americana cover band Brothers from Other Mothers!

The mission of Seneca Park Zoo is to “inspire our community to connect, care for, and conserve wildlife and wild places.” Rochester’s zoo is committed to giving animals the highest standard of care each and every day. Seneca Park Zoo increases its impact by developing programs with other zoos and aquariums, both locally and internationally, to ensure sustainable populations for endangered specials. Innovative programs include allowing guests to experience animal encounters, chats with zookeepers, and educational workshops and demonstrations.
Essential Details
Party Mad at the Zoo 2019 is a 21-and older annual fundraiser – held rain or shine — that kicks off at 5:30 pm on Friday, July 26. Be sure to bring a valid photo ID to enter the event. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 the day of the event at the Front Gate.
