Scenic Erie Station Village

Area Activity Guide: Party in the Park

June 2016

A Reason to Linger in the City

If you work in another part of Rochester and make Erie Station Village your retreat, Party in the Park may give you a reason to delay your evening commute. Windstream’s Party in the Park is back for its 20th year of super-affordable family entertainment. Every Thursday starting June 16th, a different lineup of diverse bands will play at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park (353 Court Street). Local food trucks, breweries, and wineries will be on hand so you can enjoy dinner or a cold, refreshing beverage.

Something for Everyone

The 2016 Party In the Park lineup features something for absolutely everyone. If you have little ones, they can hang out in the kid zone or play in the nearby playground. Music lovers can catch well-known national acts like Gin Blossoms and 10,000 Maniacs, as well as hometown favorites The Buddhahood and Thunder Body. Lou Gramm will appear as the voice of Foreigner, while The Eagles, Zac Brown, and Dave Matthews Band will be celebrated by tribute bands. And you won’t want to miss the series finale performance by The Wailers on August 11th.

Plan Ahead

Tickets are available at the gate on the day of each show, or from a variety of other outlets. Kids under 12 get in free. The ticket price is just $5, but if you plan to attend all 9, you can save $10 by purchasing the Party Pack for $35 at the Blue Cross Arena Box Office.  Each guest is welcome to bring a blanket and one sealed bottle of water.
