Refreshments & Revelations

Did you ever wish you had a group of friends who liked to hole up with a high-quality cocktail and explore real-life intrigue and mystery? If you find the more poorly illuminated nooks and crannies of history compelling, you’ll want to pull up a chair at this new series. Presented by the Rochester Brainery at Nox Cocktail Lounge, History Happy Hour is a chance to learn about the past while drinking a glass from the present. The $20 ticket will get you one happy-hour or non-alcoholic drink of your choice, half an hour of mingling, and one hour of captivating curriculum. In addition to the companionship of fellow history buffs, you’ll enjoy the knowledgeable insights of historian Maya Rook, who will be illuminating everyone in attendance.

Thirsty Thursdays

For knowledge, that is! Each Thursday-evening session starts at 6:30 and ends at 8. Register on the Brainery’s website.

The Perfect Setting

Can you imagine the ideal ambiance for sipping your way through the shadowy corners of history? The Brainery wouldn’t settle for less, so History Happy Hour will be held at Nox, “a secret library of cocktails & comfort food hidden inside the Village Gate.” For those who haven’t yet been there, it’s the kind of place where you’ll quickly feel at home, and where hours can slip by unnoticed. The carefully concocted craft cocktails and comfort food are sure to help you settle in.
