Area Activity Guide: Harvest Festival at Tinker Nature Park

Bees on a honeycomb

September 2015

Festival season in Rochester doesn’t end when school begins. The annual Harvest Festival at Tinker Nature Park ushers in an array of Fall festivities for the whole family. This Sunday, September 20th, come out to the park from noon to 3 pm and enjoy a free, all-ages celebration of autumn in Henrietta.

It’s harvest time, honey!

The Harvest Festival is the perfect occasion for kids to get outside in the brisk Fall air and appreciate the simpler things in life. There will be music, museum tours, an apple cider pressing, and a dairy exhibit. If you’re lucky, you can even catch a ride on a horse-drawn wagon. Plenty of local honey will be on hand to sweeten things up. You and your kids can watch it being extracted from the hive, taste it in recipes, and buy some to take home.  Adults can explore decorative and edible offerings from the Henrietta Garden Club any time between 11 am and 3 pm.
