Area Activity Guide: Flavors of Rochester at the Public Market
August 2015
We all know that the Rochester Public Market is a great place to find all kinds of delicious, locally-sourced food (and a number of other things!) at excellent prices. The fact that it’s only 20 minutes from Erie Station Village Apartments makes it a great way to spend a morning. But for you Saturday attendees, did you know you might be missing out on an extra, bonus benefit? That’s right – as if you’d need another reason to hit the Public Market, through the end of September, you can enjoy the Flavors of Rochester every Saturday morning from 10-12.
This sampling series is hosted right outside of the Market Office, so you can swing over while you shop. It features area professionals and amateurs offering up a wide-variety of tasty treats for Market goers. Most of the ingredients are locally-sourced, as well, which is always nice. The offerings change every week, and a complete list of them can be found here. Coming up this Saturday, you can sample a fresh summer salad (made by the Market’s own Margaret O’Neill), and then the following week, the Democrat and Chronicle will be bringing in a special chef. So the next time you’re at the Public Market, swing by the office and enjoy the Flavors of Rochester!
