March 2017
Environmental Perspectives from All Ages
You can never have too many amazing Rochester festivals, especially during the long off-season between the High Falls Film Festival and the Lilac Festival. The Fast Forward Film Festival is a welcome hyper-local addition to our rich film festival scene. This event showcases Rochester filmmakers — in both youth and adult categories — using the short-film format to express new environmental perspectives. Among the local subjects featured are the Island Cottage Woods Preserve, Monroe County and Waste Management’s Ecopark, and the Flower City Pickers. Broader topics include rain, bees, and worm farms.
