The Public Market’s Signature Summer Series
One of Rochester’s most popular free summer concert series is back! Starting July 12th, Bands on the Bricks will once again bring national acts and local live music to the City of Rochester Public Market. The concert series takes place for five consecutive Friday nights in July and August from 6 to 10 pm. Each event in the series highlights a different genre, sound, or period in an effort to offer something for every music enthusiast. Food and drink vendors, of course, will be on site to round out your night-out experience.
July 12 – Something Else
On July 12, enjoy Something Else, a cover band trio dedicated to providing a fun experience at every show, along with Junkyard Fieldtrip, one of the region’s most in-demand, eclectic bands.
July 19 – Latino Night
Presented in partnership with Rochester’s 50th annual Puerto Rican Festival is Latino Night on July 19th. Musical talent includes Geland y Los Alegres, Alicia “La Flautista,” Banda Light, and Sonidos Unidos.
July 26 – Classic Rock
July 26 will be a night of classic rock, with Into the Now playing the best of the Grateful Dead, the Rolling Stones, and the Doors. Supporting is Dinner and a Movie, a Phish tribute band.
August 2 – RUSH & ACDC
On August 2, American RUSH Tribute LOTUS LAND will bring the full force of RUSH to life on stage. Then, Bonfire will deliver the authentic sound of AC/DC, plus an exciting visual experience.
August 9 – Donna the Buffalo
Donna the Buffalo returns to Rochester to wrap up the 2019 Bands on the Bricks series on August 9th. Donna the Buffalo offers “everything you want in a roots band,” including a musical voice that evokes a sense of community.
Essential Details
Gates open each Friday at 5:30 for a 6 pm showtime. Pets, bicycles, and smoking are prohibited inside the gates. All bags are subject to search. Attendees can bring in one sealed bottle of water per person, but all other outside food or beverages is prohibited. Seating is limited, so consider bringing your own folding chair!
