Area Activity Guide: Zoo Boo
September 2016
Say “Boo” — at the Zoo!
Is there anything kids love more than extra trick-or-treating opportunities? This October, take the little ones in your life to a neighborhood where the inhabitants are monkeys, lions, and marmots! Zoo Boo at the Seneca Park Zoo makes a wonderful autumn tradition. Put your family’s Halloween costumes to good use by dressing up and joining fantastic creatures for a conservation-themed trick-or-treating adventure through the Zoo. Highlights include trick-or-treat stations, twice-daily costume contests, special fall treats for the animals, and activities for all ages!
Candy Conservation
Since non-sustainable palm plantations are causing damage to forests and animal habitats, pushing many species to extinction, we’re working hard to avoid conventional palm oil. To help save orangutans, we’ll only be offering sustainable palm oil and palm oil-free treats. Even better, a portion of the proceeds from Zoo Boo will benefit Health in Harmony, a nonprofit organization that supports orangutans in their natural range.
