Scenic Erie Station Village

Area Activity Guide: Savor Rochester

June 2017

The Next Level of Festival Food

It’s no surprise that Rochester has been gaining attention nationwide for its culinary offerings. It is, after all, Festival City USA, and Festivals and flavors go hand in hand. The thing about eating at festivals, however, is that they don’t make the best atmosphere for dining. Sometimes it’s hot, there’s so much going on, and there are so many people.

Savor Rochester changes all that. This indoor event transforms Village Gate into an indoor festival dedicated to fabulous local flavors. Attendance is limited to facilitate the savoring that so rarely takes place when you’re downing indulgences at a festival. You can expect short lines and big flavors — but it’s far from the typical fare. The 3rd Annual Savor Rochester event will be a showcase of the finest food and drink vendors our region has to offer. Expecting out-of-town guests? This event is the perfect way to treat them to an affordable gourmet tour of Western New York cuisine.

Beyond Beautiful Bites

The tasting stations at Savor Rochester will showcase an array of local purveyors and preparers, including the culinary skills of our Chef de Cuisine, Chef Daryl Cronk, CIA. You’ll wash it all down with fresh New York wine releases, cocktail samples from regional distillers, and local craft brews. The evening session will feature an accompaniment of live jazz. If you’re a gourmand, you can test your food and wine knowledge and compete for prizes.
